ShowScience 2025 in Sofia, Bulgaria

We are proud to announce the ShowScience 25 conference which will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 24th to 28th of June 2025.

The annual conference of the EuroScienceFun network, ShowScience, aims to bring together groups involved in science outreach all around Europe.

This 5-day conference offers participants the opportunity to exchange ideas and best practices to improve their activities.

The conference will consist of plenary sessions, workshops, discussion, and training sessions. It will close with a common show on 28th of June. The common show will take the form of stands during the day time, followed by on-stage shows in the evening.

We strongly encourage you to participate to this common show!

Registration details

The conference is free of charge. Registration for ShowScience 24 is open to a maximum of two people per show and are opened until the 25th of may 2025. After the closing of registration, registrations might be extended if some accommodation is still available.

The accommodation is provided by the organisation from June 23rd to 29th, is free of charge and includes a shared double room.

Tourist information

Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, is a vibrant city that blends history and modernity. Located at the foot of Mount Vitosha, it offers a stunning natural backdrop while serving as the country’s political, economic, and cultural hub. Founded over 7,000 years ago, it boasts Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman remains that showcase its rich past.

Among the must-see attractions are the majestic Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, one of the largest Orthodox churches in the Balkans, and the Boyana Church, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its exceptional medieval frescoes. Vitosha Boulevard is the perfect place for a stroll, shopping, and enjoying lively cafés and restaurants.

Nature lovers will appreciate Mount Vitosha National Park, ideal for hiking or skiing in winter. Sofia is also known for its mineral baths, a legacy of the Romans that remains popular today. Easily accessible and affordable, the city is a perfect destination for a trip combining culture, relaxation, and adventure.
